I bought this red office chair to round out a set I've been accumulating. It arrives unassembled but is fairly easy for an able-bodied person to put together. The finished product is lightweight, easily maneuverable and nice looking - the red upholstery keeps it from looking too officey. The same chair comes in several colors, including a lime green and a bright yellow, as well as a more conservative range. It looks like the considerably more expensive Aeron or Herman Miller chairs.I use these chairs in my dining room around a big sort of French-country looking oak table with cabriole legs. I got the idea from my tax man's conference room and brightened it up a bit. I wanted a dining room in which guests could sit and chat comfortably and also be able to get up & down from the table without a lot of huffing & scraping - hence the wheels. Reaction has been quite positive. It is also easy to move the chairs into other rooms as needed.There is minimal maintenance required. Over time some of the screws work loose a bit - just check them once in a while and tighten as necessary. Also, once in a while a black plastic cap on the bottom of the center pole drops off and should be pushed back on.
