I had 2 hardwood shelves left over from a bookcase. I wanted to turn them into a monitor stand using these legs. They work perfectly and look amazing. Solid build, piece of aluminum or cheep steel pipe threaded on the ends coated in a mat black coating. One end has a plastic threaded cap other end connects to the flat steel plate.The screws that come with it need to be replaced asap. They are not safe, i stripped the heads off 6 of them before using my own heavier duty screws. My drill was not on the drill setting or heavy setting. I did predrill which helped but still stripped heads off.Still 5 star if you are looking for good looking stubby 3inch legs.I bought these to build an under-desk PC CPU stand. They're perfect. Extremely well made and accurately machined. Usually I'm concerned that there will be missing hardware but they included (3) extra screws.For anyone interested I bought a Rubbermaid 10 x 24 black laminated wood shelf to match the IKEA desk for my flight sim setup.- mounted the feet 3/8" in from each corner with the long side of the mounting plate aligned with the long side of the shelf; mark each hole by running a pencil around the inside edge of each hole- take a nail, center punch or ice pick and lightly make an indention in the center of each hole- drill a 7/64" hole EXACTLY 3/8" deep (put a piece of painter's tape around the drill shaft)- install the screws; do NOT use a drill !! (you'll strip every hole; I guarantee it); use a Phillips head screwdriver and drive all (4) of the screws in so they're not tight; then snug up each one (don't force it); use a gentle twist; as soon as the screw stops - DON'T FORCE IT ANY FURTHERUsed these for legs on a live edge plant stand. Exactly what I was hoping for.These worked out great for my projectI bought these for the IKEA desk hack and unfortunately they were all not the same size.. some of the legs couldn’t even reach the top desk while others did .. making a few not even useful.I have used these for many Desk Buildings Hacks for mine and other office or workstation hacksWas excited to use these to complete a diy project but when we got them they were beat up scuffed, gashed and just low quality. Very disappointed with the look of the product luckily they are close to the ground hoping no one will noticeI recently purchased a flat-panel TV stand which had a wooden cabinet base. The cabinet was supported by 4 plastic feet on each corner so the TV weight was not distributed well. After a few days I noticed the cabinet starting to bow in the center due to the TV weight. I ordered these adjustable cabinet feet hoping they would slide under the cabinet in the center for added support - they worked PERFECTLY! Not only are they strong and easily adjusted by twisting the base, once installed you can actually lift the furniture by continued adjustment. I placed all 4 in the center line of my cabinet and they made the bow disappear. Just what the doctor ordered!they where perfect for my needs
